Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurpurab, also known as Guru Nanak Jayanti, is one of the most sacred festivals in Sikhism. It marks the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Guru and the founder of Sikhism. The festival is celebrated on the full moon day of the Kartik month (Kartik Purnima), which usually falls in October or November.

Guru Nanak's teachings emphasize unity, love, humility, and devotion to God. His core messages include the importance of truth, equality, and service to humanity, encapsulated in the principles of Naam Japna (meditating on God’s name), Kirat Karni (honest living), and Vand Chakna (sharing with others).
